Quick Steps for Nighthawk Setup

1️⃣ Unbox Your Nighthawk Router

  • Remove the router, power adapter, Ethernet cable, and instructions.
  • Note your default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password (usually on the label).

2️⃣ Connect Your Modem to the Router

  • Power off your modem.
  • Use an Ethernet cable to connect the modem to the yellow Internet port on the Nighthawk router.
  • Power on the modem and wait for it to fully boot up.
  • Power on the router.

3️⃣ Connect Your Device

  • On your PC or mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings.
  • Connect to the default Wi-Fi network (SSID) on the router label.
  • Enter the default password.

4️⃣ Launch a Web Browser or the Nighthawk App

  • On a computer, open http://www.routerlogin.com.
  • Or use the Nighthawk App (recommended for mobile devices, available on iOS and Android).

5️⃣ Follow the Setup Wizard or App Instructions

  • The browser wizard or app will guide you through:
    ✅ Setting up admin login
    ✅ Changing Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password
    ✅ Updating firmware (highly recommended)

6️⃣ Check Internet Connection

  • Ensure the Internet LED on the router is solid white or green.
  • Test your connection on a device.
